Sign a Free-Agent Puppy at Park 9 in Boston This Saturday

Come to Park 9 at The Station in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood on the afternoon of Saturday, September 13 to play ball with a whole team of rescue puppies, courtesy of New England–based organization Sweet Paws Rescue.

At the “Puppies in the Outfield” event, you’ll get to watch these small all-stars run around on a baseball-field-like surface, “competing” in “games” that may or may not resemble actual baseball.

In addition to available puppies, there will be available nail trims from mobile pet-grooming outfit Woofie’s, live music, custom bandana embroidery from The Farmer’s Dog, and more. Park 9 is asking for donations to enter—and all such donations, plus a portion of the proceeds from that day’s concessions, will benefit Sweet Paws, which is currently trying to purchase a new home with more acreage. This would allow more space for off-leash time and other things dogs love.

So, this Saturday, come root, root, root for the take-a-dog-home team. Here are some of the adorable, adoptable puppies you might see there:
